PBTA is pleased to co-sponsor Continuing Education programs with partners throughout the Philadelphia area:

Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety (CTSA)

CTSA offers intensive instruction on the use of Prolonged Exposure (PE) for PTSD and Exposure and Response Prevention (EX/RP) for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. These workshops typically occur annually.

Children's and Adult Center for OCD & Anxiety

The Children's and Adult Center for OCD & Anxiety is a group of 6 private practice psychologists with training and expertise in state of the art cognitive-behavior therapy for the full array of anxiety disorders and OCD for children and teenagers, as well as for adults. We provide professional training workshops in these treatment approaches locally, nationally and internationally, as well as consultation to schools and institutions. In addition, we offer parent workshops and trainings in person and online. See www.worrywisekids.org for more info.

Penn Psychiatry Time Efficient, Accessible, Multidisciplinary (TEAM) Clinic

The Penn Psychiatry Time Efficient, Accessible, Multidisciplinary (TEAM) Clinic is an innovative clinical care model designed to increase patient access to treatment using an evidence-based and collaborative approach (medication management and psychotherapy) to mental health treatment. Patients will meet with our multidisciplinary treatment team at the first visit, during which the team will discuss your symptoms and treatment needs. Based on the TEAM assessment, treatment recommendations will be provided and discussed.

Mindful Exposure Therapy for Anxiety (META) and Psychological Wellness Center (META Center), Inc

META Center offers continuing education for professionals who want to integrate mindfulness into traditional CBT interventions in order to enhance both personal well-being and professional effectiveness in work with highly distressed clients.

Trial-Based Cognitive Therapy

Trial-Based Cognitive Therapy (TBCT) is a three-level, three-phase, case formulation approach, developed by Professor Irismar Reis de Oliveira at Federal University of Bahia, Brazil. TBCT's foundation is in cognitive therapy (CT); however, it has a unique approach to conceptualization and techniques that make it a distinct intervention in modifying patients' core beliefs, especially those about the self.

The Philadelphia Behavior Therapy Association is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Philadelphia Behavior Therapy Association maintains responsibility for all programs and their content.
